According to the Hull University’s admission website, Students from West Africa (primarily Nigeria & Ghana) must have their West African Senior School Certificate (WASSC) examined by WAEC (West African Examinations Council).

Acceptable WAEC Grades for admission at Hull University

As required by the hull University, the minimum accepted grade for undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes at Hull University are as follows:

  1. For IELTS 6.0/5.5 – WAEC Grade C/6 or above
  2. For IELTS 6.5/5.5 or 6.5/6.0 – WAEC Grade C/5 or above

Applicants who are sending their application will need to supply their scratch card and scratch card pin for proper verification on the WAEC result portal.

English Proficiency Qualification

All applicants from Nigeria that are sending their application to Hull University must satisfy the English proficiency requirements.
